"Ixnilatis" Guesthouse is located at Lake Kerkini's National Park which is one of the 10 Greek wetlands of International importance. Lake Kerkini was created in 1932, by building a dam.
There are over 300 hundred bird species, as well as other animals such as amphibians, reptiles, mammals, fishes and insects. Many of them are considered to be rare. The biodiversity of the area is very rich.
